I can't say poor service, I got no service. Drove in to get tyres, then left because no one cared to assist me however people came in after me but was assisted first. Will not go there again.

Nestled within the Royal Tyres building, the Royal Cafe offers a delightful daily menu. Wallet-friendly prices without compromising on quality! The Royal Cafe ensures you get your money’s worth. Wait times hover around 10 minutes for dishes ordered off the menu. Quick enough to satisfy hunger, but not rushed. The friendly husband and wife team add to the overall positive experience.We tried the veg pasta and creamy chicken pasta. Both exceeded expectations! Fresh ingredients, well-seasoned sauces, and generous portions left us satisfied. We were spoilt for choice with the large beverage selection. If you'd like to grab and go there is a large selection of snacks and savory bites!

On 25/07/2025 I took my vehicle to Royal Tyres in Umgeni Road for a shock absorber test as there was a slight knock on my left rear shock when driving over a bump. Paid R200.00 for the test. Although their report indicated that all 4 shocks passed the test, Sphelele, who did the test, insisted that the shock is still faulty and must be replaced. I was still doubtful. To prove his point, he bounced the car manually and a slight sound emanated from from the left rear shock. Not knowing much about mechanics of a car, I accepted his diagnosis as I assumed Royal Tyres are professionals, employee staff who are experienced and being in operation for many years, are a trustworthy company and would not rip off their customers. He requested that I WhatsApp Darius for a quote. As Darius could not source shocks for my vehicle, I purchased the shocks from the Agents. Royal Tyres quoted me R1250 for fitment and R350 for wheel alignment. I eventually took them to a local fitment centre who charged me R500 for fitment. Alignment was not required as rear shock replacement does not affect alignment. Within minutes of removing the shock, the fitment centre found that the knock was due to a damaged damper bush and not a faulty shock. After paying over R3000.00 for the shocks I had to pay an additional R800.00 for the damper bush. As they had already fitted the right-hand side shock, I could not return them to the agents for a refund. A repair that could have cost me a little over R1000.00 ended up costing me over R4000.00. It seems their employees who do diagnosis are being paid a commission for new business? If Royal Tyres had fitted the shocks, they would have convinced me that apart from the shock being faulty, the damper bush also needed replacement. I wouldn’t have known any better. Ironically, on their website, one of Royal Tyres values is “Integrity - Honesty and straight forward approach......”

I recently visited Royal Vulcanizing Station (Royal Tyres) and had an outstanding experience! From start to finish, the service was efficient, professional, and friendly. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, taking the time to explain the work needed and ensuring everything was done to the highest standard. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, making my visit hassle-free. I highly recommend Royal Tyres for anyone needing quality vulcanizing, tyre services, or general vehicle maintenance. They truly deserve 5 stars for their excellent service and customer care! Will definitely be returning—thank you, Royal Tyres! 🚗💨
