I am not happy at all with the service I received from Tiger Wheels purchasing two front tyres for my fiesta last month (March).
During the process of removing the old tyres, I was told my front rims were slightly bent and I might need to pay for extra service to straighten them. Since I didn't have the money asked for, we settled on swapping the front rims with back ones, since both back rims were perfectly straight.
After service was done I just drove home and parked. Two days later I was on the freeway first time after purchasing the tyres, and my car was shaking violently the moment I reach 120km/hr.
I had to drive back to Tiger Wheels a couple of days later to complain about this..and they were laying blame on my rims for the violent vibration. Someone else there suggested it could be the rings (I don't know what they're called) that are found on the axle where the tire is attached. All four were removed and I was charged R150 to buy them..but only one of the rings on the front right tyre was slightly damaged, with all others in perfect condition.
After this I just drove straight to the freeway to check if there's been any change, and 😳😳 the vibration seems to even have gotten much worse!! I can literally hear my car windows make a prrrrrrr krrrrrr noise if I try maintain a speed around 120. At the same time, my steering wheel is also shaking violently, requiring me to keep two firm hands on it just to drive straight. This was never the case before I bought those tyres.
I am not sure what to do now because I'm very busy with work and haven't gone back there the second time. While I understand that it's possible for the slightly bent rims to cause vibrations, these vibrations only started immediately after I bought two front tyres from Tiger Wheels PTA CBD. I personally feel they are responsible for this, but after failing to do a proper job two times, I don't know if I can even go back to them ☹️🙁.
